Projects in Our Lab: Poliovirus Antibodies and Variants
Mike Strauss: Nanobodies are a class of single-domain antibodies with interesting properties. By calculating the high resolution structure of poliovirus in complex with neutralizing nanobodies by cryoEM, we can determine the mechanism of neutralization, trap the virus in defined states, and further understand the events leading up to the uncoating process.
